Pinch Transport is a flatbed LTL carrier. We are located in Houston, Texas, servicing the oil and gas industry. We ended up having four divisions: Pinch Distribution, Pinch Transportation, Pinch Air, and Pinch Flatbed.
One of our marketed services is called a seamless import. We’ll go to the port and we’ll pick up an OSHA container and we’ll bring it here, and we’ll unload it, and we’ll deliver it on a flatbed, and the customer receives one bill for the service.
We had started with a software company that, as we were growing, wasn’t really growing with us. So about ten years ago, we had switched to PCS software, which has been a tremendous help.
We have grown from a 8 million company to a 50 million company in those 10 years. And PCS has been able to develop new apps and processes for us to be successful.
Anytime you’ve got a problem or you don’t know how to do something, they’ve got multiple ways of getting in touch with their support team. It’s been very, very helpful in having somebody who can get to you quickly. And help you learn something that you didn’t even know their system could do.
So anytime we have an order that is a from point A to point B, we’re using the mobile app.
Before Mobile Express, the drivers were having to keep up with a lot of paperwork. Once we were able to utilize the Mobile Express app and put that implemented into the system, they don’t have to have accounting hollering at them for not turning in the paperwork or not having something we can actually give to the customer.
The more data you have, the better you can manage. PCS is able to provide accurate data to help make business decisions.
You’ve got a lot of trucking software and I’ve used quite a few through the years. It’s hard to get the information in there. PCS, it’s just like typing an email. Takes you from one step to the next and it makes it very seamless, and it’s helped a lot.
