How Tramcor Uses PCS TMS to Plan Faster and Find Loads Without the Chaos

Transcript

Hey, everybody. Jason here with parks and I’m with Riley with tramp core. Riley has been a customer with fellow Utahn for about four years now. There’s been a huge shift in patterns of kind of what we’ve been and what we’re going in that direction. What are some of the positive things of pieces that you’re looking forward to?

Just I guess, just they seem to be very, like, into getting on to the next thing. Yeah. Like this whole thing with cortex is, is super encouraging. Yeah. I don’t know. Just the one thing that we’re going to really focus on is really taking that feedback from customers, and we’ve been implementing that stuff. Cortex is going to fix all that.0;00;45;26 –

What, have and the module of the natural language, how do you see yourself using that? I mean, honestly, probably just like right now searching loads, searching, quotes, honestly, like past quotes and stuff that we’ve done. Just to see, just like for an example, like there’s, we have 3000 quotes in the system and you have to drill right down specifically on what, one.

And you open and close several loads before you get to it would be cool to be able to just ask it. Yeah. You know, show me show me quotes that have XYZ and and if you need to narrow it down more, you know, be more specific. But yeah. Yeah. So that’s the beauty of the natural language is because not all of us are engineers, we’re going to trucking or whatever we do.

We’re not good at coding stuff. So what cortex has done is made that natural language. So you can just say, show me that. So you’re not looking through 3000 invoices, or you can look at the past. The whole goal is to optimize your time and your profits. And I don’t know if you guys will use the back call direct.

Oh yeah. Okay, 100%. So one thing the Ppc’s is looking forward to, and we’ve listened to, we know that load planners take 2 to 3 hours trying to find one load for a guy that’s stuck in Missouri or whatever. Yeah. With Cora now you can set that time if you know you’re landing in Tennessee every Wednesday, you can get a bad call for that.

You can start a week in advance. Do you see yourself using 100%? Yeah, yeah. Right now we use, like a spreadsheet that we email to just customers and just where we have the trucks, and we’ll get replies back. You know, that that usually covers about half of them. And then the other half, you just go to the load boards and look.

But yeah, it’d be awesome to be able to just put it out there a week. I mean, we have loads scheduled out a month, right? And it’d be cool to be able to put it out there and, have that thing covered well before the game and leaves just so you’ll be able to put that in Cora and that whole month that, you know, that that truck’s getting there on Friday the ninth, you can have that looking for the best low, the highest rate, that works for you and probably gets your driver right back home.

Yeah, yeah. And honestly, that’s huge for the driver to know. You know, the way we operate, we, you know, we take our lows out of Utah, and then we find stuff coming right back. It’s huge for him to know exactly what he’s going to. You know, where he’s unloading, where he’s going to unload. Yeah. Sees me where he’s going to reload.

And coming right back. It’s it’s it helps to sell the load to the driver a lot more when he knows he’s not going to get stuck out there. There’s like I’ll take it. But what’s the rebound. Yeah exactly. Now you have or I’ll only take it if you have a real. Exactly. So now you can you can sell that as a package and you can really start raiding it per lane, knowing what your back hole is going to be.

Well and, and also it’ll help you. Yeah. That but it’ll also help to plan his next trip when like when’s he going to get back. Exactly. And that’s that’s refuge retention tool for drivers. Because you’re right. They want to know what they’re doing next, not only for, wanting to get back home, but for their hours of service.

Right. Where are they going to stage the night before, you know, so they have a full day to drive and utilize all their hours. So we’re hoping to eliminate a lot of those problems. Right.
