Hey everyone, Jason here with PCs, and I’m with Andrea from Denver Logistics—Denver, PA, not Denver, CO, as I just learned.
So, how long have you been a customer with us?
Andrea: We’ve been with you guys about two years now.
What do you like about PCS?
I think one of our favorite functions is the search ability. We came from a software that did not have that, so it has been pretty life-changing for everyone.
How do you utilize that on a day-to-day basis?
Driver calls in, you can just type in their name. Customer calls in to answer a question or confirm an appointment, and you can just type it in instead of having to figure out what driver it’s under. You can look them up right there. Nothing’s worse than when you feel that pressure and you can’t find it, and they’re like, “Are you still there?” and you’re like, “Yeah, I’m here, but I’m trying to find it.” So I think that’s one thing that we really wanted. PCS has really nailed it on ease of use, and I think going forward things are just going to get easier.
Have you seen our Cortex or anything like that?
No, excited—just about to see it for the first time. So there will be more streamlined functions for you guys; it’s going to be awesome. And there’s optimization coming, which is what I’m most excited about. The buzz is real and the product is real. I’ve seen it and been very impressed.
That’s huge for us because we’re LTL. We’re running, depending on the day, about 35 trucks or so. So it’s really important to us—you know, we’re the TMS for the 35-truck fleet and the 500-truck fleet. We can customize it.
Have you had us customize anything for you?
We have. We had a QuickBooks customization and we’re working on some customizations on the itineraries because LTL requires a lot more information depending on the customer. So we’re getting those to look exactly how we’d like them to look. Bless your soul—LTL is hard. It is very, and we’re frozen LTL for the most part as well, so we have that added temperature perspective to keep track of with the trailers.
One thing with our modules and LTL stuff—we’re really trying to make sure we have that portion streamlined so you can have your multiple stops and multiple things on a row. Have you used those functions?
Yes, we’ve been doing well. One of the other changes we’re working on is getting everything at one stop switched together. We’re working on that as well. But yeah, it works great for the multi-stop. The drivers have all the information they need. It’s nice for the drivers to see a total like, “Your trailer has 21 pallets and weighs 32,000 lbs.” They get their gross weight right there. That’s been great and really helpful.
What would you say is the number one thing PCS has helped you with in running your business?
I would think just that streamlining of search ability—being able to move things around in a much easier way from driver to driver. We’ve also just started using EDI for one of our customers, and that has been a game changer—not having to manually enter. And our regular routes, being able to use those recurring functions, has been huge as well because we have several customers that go every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. So on a Friday we can hit this button and next week’s loads are in. It’s beautiful—just a copy-paste and it re-puts the load in for you.
Perfect. Well, we thank you for being a customer and appreciate your business.
Absolutely. Thanks for having me.
Yes, no problem. Take care.
